Aimee Lutrin, B.A., M.A.

Aimee was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. After graduating from King David High School on the west side of the city, she continued her studies at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Special Education. After graduating with Highest Distinction, Aimee pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education, staying true to her roots at UBC.

Working across both the Departments of Psychology and Education at UBC, Aimee became dedicated to deepening the fields’ understanding of the ways in which educators can support student agency, exploration, and decision-making. Her Master’s thesis on the topic was recognized by the Department of Education with a Best Thesis award.

Aimee has supported students in clinical and classroom settings, and has contributed to research involving hundreds of children in laboratory settings. Today, she is passionate about bridging her background in curriculum development with current research in Education to help students achieve their goals. No matter where you find her, she will most likely be surrounded by cats and dogs.
